Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to solicit for the provision of a Vocational Occupational Education Training Program-Barber Instructor services for the federal offenders incarcerated at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Ft. Worth, Texas. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, four one-year options for renewal at the discretion of the government.The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 611511, with a small business standard of 34 million. This solicitation is restricted to small business. The estimated quantities for the base year and each option year are: Class A Barber Instructor-1000 sessions (session is one hour) with 5 students per year. The successful contractor shall be able to provide an occupational vocational training certification program in the course. The contractor shall not be a self-employed individual or individual employed by a post-secondary institution. The contract must be between Federal Medical Center (FMC) Ft. Worth and a post-secondary institution, vocational training, or industry-based program. The contractor must be an accredited entity and listed on the US Department of Education Post-Secondary Institutions and Programs (DAPIP) https://ope.ed.gov/dapip/#/home. The organization accreditation will be verified using DAPIP. The program must lead to a college certificate, AA, AS, AAS, or an industry recognized certificate qualifying the inmates for at least an entry-level position for employment. Credits earned from the college certificate must be transferrable to a four year college. The solicitation will be made available on or about January 31, 2023, and will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation and amendments, will be distributed solely through this website.
