Description

Goodfellow AFB is a nonflying United States Air Force base located in San Angelo, Texas. As part of the Air Education and Training Command, Goodfellow’s main mission is cryptologic and intelligence training for the Air Force, Space Force, Army, Coast Guard, Navy, and Marine Corps.

Mission: We Train, Transform, and Empower joint and coalition warriors.

Vision: The 17th Training Wing will cultivate fire protection and ISR professionals to drive decision advantage in future multi-domain operations.

Organization: The 17th Training Wing is composed of the 17th Training Group, 517th Training Group, 17th Mission Support Group and 17th Medical Group. The wing also provides support to Army, Navy and Marine Corps on-base units, as well as seven other partner organizations and Angelo State University's Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps.

This Request for Information (RFI)/Industry Day Announcement is issued solely for information and planning purposes; it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to a contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Furthermore, the Government is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the Government will not reimburse for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI are solely at the interested parties’ expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in a future RFP, if one is issued.

This RFI is seeking responses from businesses that can provide the required services in the following categories: Infrastructure, Information Technology, Personnel/Services, Innovation, and Six Gen Learning. However, ideas within these categories are not solely what the Government is looking for. In a future amendment, requirements specified by the referenced mission partners will be made available. This RFI is encouraging responses from all qualified and capable businesses regardless of size. During the event, a presentation is scheduled to discuss small businesses and their abilities to provide services for the identified categories and more. The Government is requesting industry to provide a statement of capability in preparation for the Industry Day. The statement of capability shall consist of not more than 5 pages describing the responder’s ability to demonstrate. Statements should answer the questions on the attached Industry Engagement Questionnaire. Companies planning to participate in the Industry Day activities shall provide one consolidated attendance request (limited to three persons), with the company name, point of contact, title, email address, phone number, and whether a one-on-one session is desired.

The data obtained from this RFI will assist the Government in understanding the capabilities available in the industry marketplace and to inform the development of a way-ahead for 17 CONS to obtain support services on behalf of the 17th Training Wing and Goodfellow AFB. Additionally, the market research will assist the Government in determining which acquisition vehicle and approach will best meet the requirements as identified by the mission partners.
