HEPTAFLUOROPROPANE agent. HEPTAFLUOROPROPANE is a colorless, odorless gaseous halocarbon
commonly used as a gaseous fire suppression agent. The reclaim operation of this agent still
requires minimal purchases of the agent to complete all rebuild quantities. The contractor shall
provide HEPTAFLUOROPROPANE, DuPont FM200 or equal in 1,200 pound cylinders. The
HEPTAFLUOROPROPANE shall be in 1,200 pound cylinders with a minimum of 99% 1,1,1,2,3,3,3 ‐
HEPTAFLUOROPROPANE with CAS (Chemical Abstract Service), #431890. NIIN (National Item
Identification Number), 01 588 2740 ‐ HEPTAFLUOROPROPANE, Fire suppressant, ASTM (American
Society for Testing and Materials) International P/N (Part Number), ASTMD6064TYPEII, 1,200 Lb.
Cylinder, Refrigerant GAS R‐227, Cylinder Water Capacity 1,000 Pounds. Service Pressure 300PSI, 30
Inches Diameter X 50 Inches Height. Safety Data Sheet (SDS) shall be provided to RRAD POC
electronically prior to shipment and hard co pies with shipment (CDRL A0001).
All cylinders shall have a current valid pressure test with a minimum of 12 months remaining upon
Government acceptance.
Contractor shall deliver 72 hours after receipt of the first Delivery Order. Subsequent Delivery
Orders may have an alternate delivery schedule requested in the Delivery Order CLIN description in
order to fund for replacement cylinders (pick up empty cylinder(s) and drop off full cylinder(s).
Contractor shall pick up empty cylinders when deliveries are made for new cylinder(s)). Contractor
shall not execute delivery without a delivery order that specifies the quantity ordered.
At contract end (provided the contractor is not awarded the next contract), the contractor shall remove
any empty cylinders from RRAD. All remaining cylinders containing gases shall be picked up as cylinders
are emptied for a period of 1 year from the end of period of performance. By the end of 1 year, the
contractor will remove all cylinders, regardless if empty. No rental fees will be accessed through this
period.
