The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source Contract modification Allen Corporation of America Inc., 10400 Eaton PL STE 330, Fairfax, Virginia. The Federal Aviation Administration Flight Program Administration, Franchise Support Group (AJF-4200) has a requirement for Flight Training Device (FTD) / Advanced Aviation-Training Device (AATD) / Simulation direct Support.
In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. Flight Program Operations requires a modification to the current Allen Corporation contract 6973GH-21-D-00004 for Aviation Safety Training that provides training and currency/proficiency services to include simulation training to participants in the FAA Flight Program, at the Fort Worth Alliance Airport (AFW). The modification is to add Flight Training Device (FTD) / Advanced Aviation-Training Device (AATD) / Simulation direct Support. This contract requirement provides FTD/AATD simulation equipment continuous monitoring and support to ensure equipment is operational to avoid disruptive or negative impact to training sessions and schedules. This contract modification request is necessary due to the ongoing effort of contract consolidation mandate to better align contract requirements under the FAA Flight Program consolidation and established Flight Program Operations (AJF) service unit.
