502d Contracting Squadron intends to issue a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract to Port Authority of San Antonio, 907 Billy Mitchell Boulevard, San Antonio, TX 78226-1802. This notice is NOT a solicitation for proposals or quotations. This notice is to simply provide information regarding this requirement.

The Port Authority of San Antonio is the sole-source entity to provide an innovative campus at Tech Port that facilitates a center where aircraft hangars and maintenance workspaces are provided. The Boeing Center at Tech Port will host briefings and workshops for teams across the Air Force (estimated 500 attendees). This requirement entails the rental/lease of an auditorium and workshop classrooms at the Boeing Center, where the projected 2-day Athena Torch conference be held between 01 to 30 September 2023. The exact dates will be determined and scheduled based on the availability and coordination between the U.S. Air Force customer and Port Authority of San Antonio.

The Government intends to procure the rental/lease of the facility from a single source under the authority of 41 U.S.C.1901 by way of using the procedures outlined in FAR subpart 13.5. This single source is authorized under FAR 13.106-1(b), that the circumstances of this contract action deem only a single source is reasonably available to fulfill the stated requirement.

This is NOT a request for competitive offers, quotes, or capability statements. This notice complies with FAR 5.101 by disseminating information of the proposed effort to sole-source. Oral communications will not be accepted in response to this notice. Pursuant to FAR 13.501(a)iii, Special Documentation Requirements, the formal Justification and Approval for this action shall be posted on this site within 14-days after contract award.
