THIS AWARD NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program Office is entering into a sole source delivery order under BOA N0001919G0008 contract to Lockheed Martin Corporation (LM), Fort Worth, TX. This effort was awarded in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2022 with a twelve month base period of performance. This effort is for engineering and range support efforts required to accomplish the successful firing of the GPU-9/A Gun Pod used on the F-35B STOVL Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) aircraft.

THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition was pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Lockheed Martin Corporation is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the F-35B STOVL Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) aircraft and its related equipment and as such is the only company that has the requisite knowledge, technical expertise, production tooling facilities and technical data necessary to meet this requirement.
