The City of Fort Worth Transportation and Public Works Department seeks consultant assistance to develop a Comprehensive Traffic Safety Action Plan (CSAP) that builds upon the City’s existing efforts to enhance traffic safety citywide. The CSAP will be developed through a US Department of Transportation Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant. The plan will establish a suite of action-oriented strategies that the City should implement over time to achieve significant fatal and serious injury crash reductions. As Fort Worth approaches a population of one (1) million and beyond, this plan will be critical to improve roadway safety for an increasing number of drivers on City roads, multi-modal transportation users, and the majority minority communities that are experiencing a disproportionate burden of fatal and serious injury crashes.  The City is seeking a firm that designates and assigns a project representative as point of contact, subject to the approval of the City, along with a project coordinator/manager to serve as a single point of contact and liaison between the firm and the City for all work required under this agreement.

The purpose of this planning effort is to:

  • Produce the City’s first Comprehensive Traffic Safety Action Plan that will establish Fort Worth’s strategy to eliminate fatal and serious injury crashes.
