Sealed bids in duplicate addressed to the City of Highland Village, Texas for the Brazos Blvd and Highland Village Road Traffic Signal Project in Highland Village for the City of Highland Village, Texas, hereinafter called the "City" in accordance with the specifications and contract documents prepared by RPS Infrastructure, Inc., will be received at the office of the City Secretary of the City of Highland Village, Texas, at 1000 Highland Village Road, Highland Village, Texas 75077, until September 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Bids received by the appointed time will be opened and read aloud. Any bids received after closing time will be returned unopened.

Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount of no less than five percent (5%) from a reliable surety company as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute a Performance Bond within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract to him.

The Contractor’s Certificate of Insurance. Which will be submitted with the Contractor’s payment bond and performance bond, shall include the following provisions: (A) the Contractor’s Certificate of Insurance shall bind the insurance to add the City as an additional insured, (B) the certificate shall state “All policies shall be endorsed to read ‘This policy will not be cancelled or non-renewed without thirty (30) days advanced notice to the owner and City’ and ten (10) days notice for nonpayment of premiums”, (C) The insurance shall be written by carriers licensed to do business in Texas and with companies with A: VIII or better rating in accordance with the current Best Key Rating Guide, (D) the insurance shall include workers’ compensation, and (E) the certificate of insurance shall have a waiver of subrogation in favor of the City.
