PURPOSE: This Invitation to Bid (ITB) will establish a competitive contract for municipal solid waste and recycling disposal at three (3) schools owned by Plano Independent School District (the District) located in Dallas, TX. The service will be limited during summer months (June - August). Those companies participating in this competitive ITB will provide prices for Front Load, Type I refuse disposal.
ANNUAL EXPENDITURE: The estimated expenditure for this contract is approximately $60,000 per year. However, this estimate should not be construed to be a guarantee of either minimum or maximum since usage is dependent upon actual needs and available funding.
TERM: This ITB will be firm for one (1) year from date of award, with the option to be renewed for three (3) additional years, in one (1) year increments, provided all prices remain firm and both parties agree.
Notice of intent to renew will be given to the Contractor in writing by the District, normally ninety (90) days before the expiration date of the current contract. This notice will not be deemed to commit the District to renew the contract for the renewal period, until such time as the District takes official action to commit to such a renewal.
