Bid/RFP Status: Open - accepting bids and proposals Bid/RFP Due Date: Thursday, February 1, 2024 - 2:00pm Back to Bids/RFPs Separate sealed bids addressed to the City of Kyle, ATTENTION: CITY ENGINEER, will be received until 2:00 p.m. on February 1, 2024, at the City of Kyle Public Works Building located at 520 E. RM 150 in Kyle, Texas, 78640 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud, for furnishing all labor, material, tools and equipment and performing all work required for PLUM CREEK PHASE 2, including: Construction of new road facilities Avenue A, Cromwell, and Heroes Memorial Drive roads (2,600 LF), Signage and Striping, TxDOT driveway connections (2), Back-of- Curb Landscape Improvements, Cultural Trail, Storm Sewer and Collection System (2,200 LF), Sanitary Sewer Infrastructure (1,200 LF), Water Infrastructure (2,700 LF), Dry Utilities – Electric and Telecommunications (2,200 LF), Streetlighting, and Erosion Control Measures as shown on drawings. Misc.: Clearing & Grubbing and Existing Utility Removal as shown on drawings. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form provided and must be accompanied by a bid security in a penal sum approximately equal to and not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. The security shall be in the form of a certified check or cashier’s check, or bid bond furnished by a reliable surety company having authority under the laws of Texas to write surety bonds in the amount required, with such security made payable without recourse to the City of Kyle. The envelope containing the bid shall indicate clearly on the front that the bid is for the PLUM CREEK PHASE 2 project. The final Notice of Award of Contract shall be given to the successful bidder by the City of Kyle within seventy-five (75) days following the opening of bids and no bidder may withdraw his bid within seventy-five (75) days after opening thereof. The successful Bidder must furnish a payment bond and performance bond, when required, on the form provided in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. No fax submissions will be accepted. No late submissions will be accepted. All submissions received after the deadline will be returned unopened. State statutes including wage and hour provisions and contract regulations must be adhered to as they relate to this project. Contractors will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations. Complete Contract Documents have been provided to CivCast USA for immediate download.
