Center Street, Kyle TX 78640 Contact Staff: Sergeant Daniel Gooding at email: dgooding@cityofkyle.com Quotation For: The City of Kyle Police Department is seeking sealed quotation from qualified vendors for the purchase of ballistic shields meeting the specifications as provided below. The City of Kyle Police Department anticipates purchasing a total of 30 to 40 Ballistic Shields depending on the per unit price quotation received in response to this RFQ. Specifications: The Police Ballistic Shields must meet or exceed all of the specifications below: Ballistic area coverage between 18-24 inches wide and 30-40 inches tall. Ballistic glass view port between 8-12 inches wide, and 4-6 inches tall. Heavy duty aluminum or composite based ambidextrous handle system. Defeats multiple round threats. Defeats 7.62x.51mm 2750 fps, and lesser threats Meets or exceeds National Institute of Justice ballistic NIJ III standards. Ballistic defeating properties meet or exceed NIJ level III. Weighs no more than 35 pounds. Deadline Requirements: Any quotation received after the date and time deadline as stated above, will not be considered. Quotation Delivery Requirements: Quotation must be sent in a sealed envelope, clearly marked on the outside of the envelope with the RFQ number and must be addressed to: City of Kyle Attn: Sergeant Daniel Gooding Kyle Police Department 100 W. Center Street, Kyle TX 78640 Quotation Format & Requirements: The written Quotation must include and provide the following: Quotation must clearly state the legal name, address, and telephone number of the entity submitting the sealed quotation in response to this RFQ. Quotation must be manually signed (electronic signature is not acceptable). The signer must have the authority to bind the entity to the submitted quotation. Failure to sign the quotation will invalidate the quotation and it will not be considered for award. Name of the manufacturer of the Ballistic Shield. Model number of the Ballistic Shield. Description of the Ballistic Shield and include manufacturer’s product brochure, photos, test certifications, etc. Warranty information. Quoted price per unit. Price quoted per unit for the Ballistic Shield must be the total price per unit delivered to the Kyle Police Department at the address provided in this RFQ. Quoted price per unit for the Ballistic Shield must be good for a minimum of sixty (60) days. Irrevocable Quotation: Any quotation may be withdrawn up until the date and time for the quotation submittal deadline as forth in this RFQ, provided the withdrawal notice is in writing and received prior to the deadline. Any quotation not withdrawn shall, upon opening, constitute an irrevocable offer for a minimum period of sixty (60) days to sell and deliver the Ballistic Shields to the City of Kyle at the quoted price per unit, until one or more of the quotations received have been duly accepted by the City. Expenses Incurred: All expenses incurred by for preparing and submitting the quotation in response to this RFQ shall be the full responsibility of the entity submitting the seal quotation. Reserved Rights: The City of Kyle reserves the right to reject any and all bids or quotations received in response to this RFQ. Other Requirements: By submitting a quotation in response to this RFQ, the entity submitting the quotation certifies that they have not divulged, discussed, or compared the quotation with other bidders and or with the staff of City of Kyle.
