Bid/RFP Status: Open - accepting bids and proposals Bid/RFP Due Date: Wednesday, September 6, 2023 - 2:00pm Back to Bids/RFPs Sealed bids addressed to the City of Kyle will be received for the FM110 Water Improvements Project, in accordance with the Specifications, and Contract Documents prepared by LJA Engineering, Inc. (Engineer), will be received at the City of Kyle Public Works Department, 520 E. RR 150, Kyle, TX, until 2:00 p.m., September 6, 2023, and then publicly opened and read aloud. Any Proposal received after this time will be returned unopened. Proposals shall be plainly marked with the name and address of the Bidder and the following words: PROPOSAL FOR FM110 WATER IMPROVEMENTS Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: Construction of approximately 5,150 linear feet of new 16-inch water line improvements, Approximately 400 linear feet on 32-inch steel casing, Water appurtenances, and Surface repairs Additive Alternate: This will be used for boring water line under driveway at the discretion of the Engineer/City. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form provided, and must be accompanied by a bid security in a penal sum approximately equal to and not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. The security shall be in the form of a certified check or cashier’s check, or bid bond furnished by a reliable surety company having authority under the laws of Texas to write surety bond in the amount required, with such security made payable without recourse to the City of Kyle. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications will be on file online by August 9, 2023, at www.civcast.com. No fax submissions will be accepted. No late submissions will be accepted. All submissions received after the deadline will be returned unopened. State statutes including wage and hour provisions and contract regulations must be adhered to as they relate to this project. Contractors will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations. City of Kyle reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Kyle for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award. The final Notice of Award of Contract shall be given to the successful bidder by the City of Kyle within sixty (60) days following the opening of bids and no bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after opening thereof. Bidders should carefully examine the plans, specifications and other documents, visit the site of work, and fully inform themselves as to all conditions and matters which can in any way affect the work or the cost thereof. Should a bidder find discrepancies in, or omissions from, the plans, specifications or other documents, or should be in doubt as to their meaning, bidder should notify the Engineer and obtain clarification prior to submitting any bid, but no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 29, 2023. Time of substantial completion shall be 120 calendar days. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on August 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the City of Kyle Public Works Department Training Room, 520 E. RR 150, Kyle, TX.
