The intent of this bid is to purchase cafeteria tables for the Lubbock Independent School District. This project will include delivery and installation of the new cafeteria tables at two locations.

Question
If you are matching old tables, that would make sense. There was nowhere on the bid that this was a sole source approved by the state, and there was also nowhere for equal data to be submitted to get approved. We would like to confirm that this is an approved bid and that it follows all of the states requirements. To be brand-specific, it needs to have special approval. Please confirm.
Answer Brand and items specified in the RFP are preferred. This is not a sole source solicitation. Thank you for your input.

Good Morning,

We are the distributor for all school furniture lines. We noticed on the bid it did not say Brand Specific but did give exact specs. If you are purchasing new tables or each of the two-schools listed is it fair to say as long as the tables we are supplying meet quality standards , are certified and meet exact specifications we are able to submit a bid?

Once awarded will the orders be placed before the end of 2023? Manufacturers are looking at a price increases at the first of the year and can only guarantee pricing through 12-31-23.
Answer Yes, we hope to have PO's entered before end of year. If this needs to be board approved that meeting is set for December 14th.
