United Independent School District is requesting Competitive Sealed Proposals for United South High School Additions and Renovations.



Contingency Lump Sum Allowance: $850,000.00

Utility Lump Sum Allowance: $80,000.00


There is no requirement to submit online. Your submission must include one (1) ORIGINAL and five (5) copies of your proposal clearly labeled in sections as per the evaluation tool herein. You may mail or hand deliver your submission to 3501 E. Saunders Street Laredo, Texas 78041. Your submission must be sealed and labeled with the CSP name and number outside the box/envelope.


Project Documents may be obtained upon receipt of $100.00 for each project set, from the United ISD Service Center - Purchasing Department, 3501 E. Saunders, Laredo, Texas 78041. Accepted forms of payment include cashier's check, money order or company check (no personal checks will be accepted). Checks are to be payable to United ISD. Deposits will be refunded for each complete set of documents (including addenda) received by the United ISD Purchasing Office in good reusable condition within 10 days after the proposal award date. Shipping and handling of the documents are at the contractor's expense.

I am currently reviewing the plans and the specs for this project and noticed that on the specs it's mentioned IP PA speakers and clocks but on the plans, there are no speakers noted.
Answer Devices for PA/Intercom and clocks are indicated on the lighting systems plans. Risers are included on E4.02.

Please clarify on sheet A-201 room F105A east wall, shows 1 tack board and 2-markerboards, but on elevation A-801/C6, it shows 1-4'x6' markerboard, 1 - 4"x8" markerboard and 1 - 4"x12" ruled markerboard with staff lines.

Provide a detail drawing, and specifications for electrical manhole #2 as required by sheet MEP1-01 keyed note E7.20 and new utility distribution one-line diagram on sheet E4-01.

Question
I found this job opportunity on a 3rd party bidding service. I went through the registration process online, but i am not sure how the process works. I am looking to submit a substitution request for an alternate manufacturer for the Music Instrument Storage casework. Is there a form for this? Also, who do i submit my bid to? A contractor or directly to the school district?
Answer
For all substitutions, you need to email our architect of record and we will issue addendum answering the request.

Could you please confirm if the HT. for the chain-link fence at the Pilot channel is 4'? Also, if the detail for the conc. pilot channel is the one on sheet C-2.3 Detail A or the details on sheet C-5.1 Y & Z.
