The Fort Worth Independent School District is accepting RFP's (Request for Proposals) for 23-055 HVAC Rooftop Replacement at 23 Campuses.

The period of performance is from the date of award to June 30th, 2024 with the option to extend for one (1) additional year. All purchase orders dated and issued will be subject to the terms and conditions of this RFP.


A pre-proposal meeting will be held Wednesday , November 2nd at 2:00 pm in the Operations Management Conference Room at 4200 Lubbock Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76115 . Each vendor who submits a proposal for consideration is highly encouraged to be present at the meeting or have an authorized representative present.


All visits to the site, outside of the scheduled site visit, must be cleared with Antonio Rosales beforehand.

5.        The quantity and types of units listed in the ITB does not match the quantity and units types listed in the ADDENDUM 2 breakdown. Please provide clarifications on which units are to be replaced at each school. This continues throughout the schools, I have listed 2 examples below.
a.        Example: Oaklawn ITB states to replace (10) 2-ton units, (1) 3-ton unit, (8) 4-ton units, (2) 5-ton units, (3) 7.5-ton units, (1) 8-ton, (2) 10-ton units, (1) 20-ton unit; ADD-2 Site Breakdown shows (9) 2-ton units, (3) 3-ton units, (12) 4-ton units, (8) 5 ton units, (2) 7.5-ton units, (0) 8-ton units, (1) 10-ton unit, (1) 20-ton unit.
b.        Example: Nash ITB states to replace (1) 3-ton unit, (1) 5-ton unit, and (4) 6-ton units; ADD-2 Site Breakdown shows (4) 3-ton, (4) 6-ton, and (0) 5-ton.

3.        ITB states that we are to install Ionizers at each unit. In the prebid meeting it was said that ionizers have been installed on all Elementary schools already. Should we price the ionizers for every school? Can we get a detailed list of where ionizers are currently installed.
Answer Bi-polar Ionazation is already installed at all elementary schools. It will need to be removed and re-installed.

2.        Daggett ES #119 states that RT19 in the Principal’s room in NOT accessible. Is this unit to be replaced? If so we will need more information about the unit and the process of gaining access to replace the unit.

QUESTION 1 of 6
1.        ITB states like for like replacement, but Aaon or Carrier only. The schedule in addendum 2 shows many other brands are on the schools currently. What is the route forward on the non-Aaon and Carrier units?
Answer Carrier, Aaon, or equal. If bidding non Carrier or Aon, a ny and all alternate equipment must function as an exact replacement to the original specified equipment without changes to any other part of the HVAC system unless otherwise specified. All alternate equipment proposed must have clear documentation submitted to demonstrate such equal replacement.
